Maryland Traffic Citation Payment Plans

Maryland courts offer payment plans for traffic citations totaling $150 or more. You pay 10% of your total fine each month for 10 months. The form you need depends on which court has your case.

  • Available for most payable citations

Which form do you need?

DCA-131 — District Court Payment Plan

For citations in or scheduled for Maryland District Court. This is the most common path for traffic tickets.

CC-088 — Circuit Court Payment Plan

For cases appealed or elevated to Maryland Circuit Court. Court costs are NOT included in Circuit Court payment plans.

DR-049O — Citation Option Form

Has a payment plan option. Use this if you lost your citation or want one form for multiple options.

Deadline to apply

You typically have 30 days from the date of your citation to apply. After 30 days, your options narrow. Use our deadline calculator to estimate your deadline.
